Before Holy Cross:Was a two-year member of the varsity lacrosse squad at Cold SpringHarbor H.S. ... as a junior he scored 13 goals and dished out 10assists as an attacker ... team won the state championship in 2006.

Personal: Son ofBruce (Deceased) and Betsy Smirti ... has one sister, Carolyn ...his sister was a four-year member of the Holy Cross women'slacrosse team and graduated in 2006 ... majoring in Economics.
