Mauro enters his third season with Holy Cross, and second as an assistant coach, in the 2024-25 campaign.
Mauro joins the Crusaders after a stint with the Minot Minotauros as an assistant coach. He was responsible for recruiting new players and executing practice and game strategies. Before his time with the Minotauros, Mauro was the assistant coach at Anna Maria College from 2018 to 2022, where he compiled stats for player evaluation and assisted in gameday preparations and visiting accommodations. He also has experience as a scout for the Spruce Grove Saints. Here, he worked with the coaching staff to identify prospective players interested in furthering their careers at the junior level.

Mauro graduated from Franklin Pierce University where he played four years of Division II varsity hockey (2013 to 2017). During the 2014-2015 season, Mauro was the team MVP and leading scorer for the Ravens. He was also a four-time honoree on the Northeast-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll.

A native of Shrewsbury, Mass., Mauro earned a bachelor's degree in communications with a minor in marketing from Franklin Pierce in 2017.
