Ted Rawlings is in his third season as an assistant men’s basketball coach at the College of the Holy Cross in 2025-26.

Rawlings joined the Crusaders after spending four years on the coaching staff at Texas A&M University-Commerce. He helped the Lions in their transition from Division II to Division I, with the team posting a 9-9 record in Southland Conference play during its first Division I season in 2022-2023. 

Texas A&M-Commerce previously advanced to the NCAA Division II Tournament in 2021-2022, while posting an overall mark of 55-48 during his time on the staff. In addition, Rawlings recruited and developed Demarcus Demonia, a three-time All-League selection and the Lions’ first-ever All-Southland Conference player.

Prior to his time at Texas A&M-Commerce, Rawlings was the director of basketball operations at George Mason University from 2016-2019. He was responsible for planning all aspects of team travel as well as assisting in the daily logistics of practice, facility scheduling, film exchange and camp sessions. 

Rawlings previously spent two years as the coordinator of men’s basketball operations at Brown University from 2014-2016. At Brown, he planned all aspects of team travel in addition to assisting with practice logistics, facility scheduling, film exchange and camps.

From 2012-2014, Rawlings was an assistant coach at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. In his first season, he helped lead the Devils to their best mark since 2004, posting a 13-13 record and finished third in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference South Division. In his second season, the program improved to 17-11 and reached the conference semifinals. While with the Devils, Rawlings mentored All-American Garrett Kerr, who was a two-time CACC Player of the Year selection. 
 
Rawlings also served as recruiting coordinator and director of player development at the University of the Sciences, evaluating prospects while building relationships with potential student-athletes and high school programs.
 
Rawlings started his coaching career serving as an assistant coach and recruiting assistant with the Haverford College men’s basketball team during the 2011-2012 season. He was also the director of lacrosse operations at the University of Pennsylvania from 2011-2014. 

Rawlings is a 2011 cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in English. He was a goalie on the lacrosse team and a two-year starter on the sprint football team, earning All-Collegiate Sprint Football League honors. Rawlings also volunteered as a student manager for the men’s basketball team and assisted the director of basketball operations all four seasons.

He earned a master’s degree in sport management from Drexel University in 2013.
