Sean Ryan

Sean Ryan is in his first year as an assistant men's basketballcoach at the College of the Holy Cross. He is heavily involved inon-court coaching and player development, in addition to assistingin all other areas of the Crusaders' program. Ryan also plays alarge role in recruiting, where he has significant contacts both inthe region and across the country.

Ryan came to Holy Cross from Boston University, where he servedas an assistant coach for two seasons. He was involved in all areasof the Terriers' program, including on-court coaching, recruiting,practice and game preparation, scheduling, compliance, academicadvising and counseling. In 2008-2009, Ryan helped BostonUniversity to a winning mark with a 17-13 overall record.

Prior to his time at Boston University, Ryan was an assistantcoach at the College of Charleston for two years. He helped leadthe Cougars to winning records during both of his seasons, with theteam posting marks of 18-10 in 2004-2005 and 17-11 in 2005-2006.Ryan was previously an assistant coach at St. Anselm College forthree seasons.

A 1996 graduate St. Anselm with a bachelor's degree in business,Ryan was a two-year letterwinner for the Hawks' basketball team,earning first team All-Northeast 10 and NABC second team All-NewEngland honors. He scored 1,063 career points and made 229 careerthree-point field goals during his time at St. Anselm. Ryan waspreviously a two-year member of the basketball team at MonmouthUniversity.

Ryan and his wife, Liz, were married in August of 2008.
