During each of the last three seasons, Evans has helped the Crusaders increase their overall win total. Holy Cross has also had five All-Patriot League selections and four Patriot League All-Rookie team honorees during his time on the staff.

Evans returned to the Crusaders after spending the 2018-2019 season as an assistant coach at North Carolina-Asheville. He was previously an assistant coach at Louisville in 2017-2018, helping the Cardinals to an overall record of 22-14 and a trip to the National Invitation Tournament quarterfinals.

Prior to his time at Louisville, Evans spent two years as a graduate assistant at Texas from 2015-2017. During the 2015-2016 campaign, the Longhorns went 20-13 overall and advanced to the NCAA Tournament. Evans began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Nichols in 2014-2015, with the Bison posting a 20-6 overall record and winning the Commonwealth Coast Conference regular season title during his lone season on staff.

A 2012 graduate of Holy Cross with a bachelor’s degree in economics, Evans totaled 1,200 points, 477 rebounds, 214 assists and 130 steals during his career with the Crusaders. He was named the 2009 Patriot League Rookie of the Year, served as a team captain during his senior season and finished his career ranked 28th all-time at Holy Cross in scoring.

Evans went on to play one post-graduate season at Connecticut in 2012-2013, helping the Huskies to a 20-10 record. He then played professionally in England for one year. Evans received a master’s degree in educational psychology from Connecticut in 2013 and a master’s degree in kinesiology from Texas in 2017.
