Holy Cross Athletics

Max Ginsberg is in his fourth year on the Holy Cross men’s basketball staff in 2021-22, and his third season as the director of men’s basketball operations. Ginsberg’s primary responsibilities include heavy involvement in recruiting efforts, summer camps and day-to-day office duties, in addition to serving as the team’s travel and video coordinator.

In the 2020-21 campaign, Ginsberg helped the Crusaders to more than double their Patriot League win total from the previous season. Holy Cross also placed two players (Austin Butler and Gerrale Gates) on the All-Patriot League teams and one (R.J. Johnson) on the Patriot League All-Rookie team. 

During his first year with the Crusaders, Ginsberg served as the team’s video coordinator. He was in charge of using game analysis and scouting software to provide edits and reports to the coaching staff, in addition to evaluating film and developing scouting reports.

Ginsberg came to Holy Cross from Cornell University, where he worked with the men’s basketball program for four years. He served as the assistant to the director of basketball operations during the 2017-2018 season, where he assisted with practice plans, scouting reports, film editing and travel arrangements. Ginsberg also spent three years as the team’s head student manager. In addition, he was the director of the Cornell summer basketball camp in 2017, while working as a coach at summer camps for Holy Cross and UCLA.

A 2018 graduate of Cornell with a bachelor’s degree in policy analysis and management, Ginsberg went on to receive his master’s degree in communication management from the University of Southern California in 2019.
