• Played for head coach Gus Schill at the Asheville School in Asheville, N.C.
• Named first team all-conference and honorable mention all-state as a senior.
• Led team to a state runner-up finish during senior year.
• Also a member of the basketball and track teams, while winning 13 letters during his prep career.
• Served as captain of both the football and basketball teams.
• Earned first team all-conference honors in basketball, while scoring over 1,000 career points.
• Two-time track state champion during senior year, as part of the 4x100-meter and 4x400-meter relay teams.
• Received the David Ralph Millard, Jr. Award as Asheville’s top male athlete.
