Biography

• Enters the season ranked first all-time at Holy Cross incareer field goal percentage (.785) and career punting average(40.9), and sixth in career field goals made (22).

AS A JUNIOR IN 2012:
• Played in all 11 games on the year, handling virtually allof the team’s placekicking, punting and kickoff duties.
• Earned second team All-Patriot League honors as both apunter and a placekicker.
• Selected to the New England Football Writers All-Starteam.
• Received first team Capital One Academic All-Districthonors.
• Named to the Academic All-Patriot League team.
• Chosen as the WTAG Holy Cross Special Teams Player of theYear.
• Scored 55 points on the season, hitting 10 of 13 field goalattempts and 25 of 26 extra points.
• Averaged 40.9 yards on 62 punts, with 23 kicks downedinside the 20.
• Posted a 62.4-yard average on 47 kickoffs, with 21touchbacks.
• Ranked second in the Patriot League in punting average andfield goal percentage, and third in field goals made and extrapoint percentage.
• Finished 38th in the nation in punting and 44th in fieldgoals made.
• Placed fourth on the Holy Cross single-season list forpunting average, ninth for field goals made and extra pointpercentage, and 10th for punting yards.
• Connected on five straight field goals from Aug. 30-Oct. 6,to tie for ninth on all-time Holy Cross list for consecutive fieldgoals made.
• Scored a season-high 12 points at Wagner, hitting all threeof his field goals and all three of his extra points, while puntingonce for 52 yards.
• His three field goals made at Wagner tied for thesecond-most ever by a Holy Cross player in a single game.
• Received Patriot League Special Teams Player of the Weekhonors following the victory over Georgetown, after hitting onefield goal and three extra points, in addition to averaging 44.4yards on seven punts.
• Kicked a season-long 46-yard field goal against Dartmouth,tying for the fourth-longest made field goal in school history.
• Averaged 47.8 yards on six punts at Lafayette.
• Placed third and 10th on the Holy Cross single-game listfor punting average, with his performances against Lafayette andGeorgetown.
• Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2011:
• Played in 10 games as the team’s top placekicker,while sharing kickoff duties.
• Earned first team Capital One Academic All-Districthonors.
• Selected to the Academic All-Patriot League team.
• Led the team in scoring with 56 points on the season,hitting 12 of 15 field goals and 20 of 26 extra points.
• Tied the school single-season record for field goalsmade.
• Connected on seven straight field goals from Oct. 1-22, totie for fourth on all-time Holy Cross list for consecutive fieldgoals made.
• Finished the season ranked 27th in the nation in fieldgoals made.
• Led the Patriot League in field goal percentage, whileranking third in field goals made and fourth in scoring.
• Averaged 58.2 yards on 21 kickoffs.
• Scored a season-high 12 points during the victory overHarvard, hitting three of four field goal attempts and all three ofhis extra points.
• Booted a season-long 37-yard field goal during the Harvardgame.
• Made two field goals and two extra points at NewHampshire.
• Hit two field goals and one extra point against Brown andDartmouth.
• Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2010:
• Saw action in one game as a backup kicker.
• Kicked off once for 50 yards during the Fordham game.
• Selected to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

HIGH SCHOOL:
• Played for head coach Dan Paro at Georgetown PreparatorySchool.
• Selected All-Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Associationas a senior.
• Named to the All-Gazette team in 2009.
• Made seven of nine field goals and 22 of 24 extra pointsduring his senior season.
• Recorded touchbacks on 27 out of 43 kickoffs in 2009.
• Also lettered in tennis, serving as team captain andearning All-Interstate Athletic Conference honors.

• Son of Michael and Carol Macomber.
• Has one sister, Annie, who played both lacrosse and soccerat the College of William & Mary.
• Father played soccer and rugby at Bowdoin College.
• Majoring in History.
