AS A SENIOR IN 2019:
• Saw action in three games on the year as a backup quarterback.
• Completed two passes for 16 yards at Syracuse.

AS A JUNIOR IN 2018:
• Played in three games at quarterback, starting the first three contests of the season.
• Hit on 24 of 39 passes for 204 yards and a touchdown on the year.
• Connected on 14 of 23 passes for 113 yards and a score at Colgate, while rushing 12 times for 21 yards.
• Completed three of four passes for 50 yards in the victory over Yale.
• Threw for 39 yards on six of 11 passing at Boston College.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2017:
• Did not see any game action.
• Selected to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2016:
• Saw action in two games as a backup quarterback.
• Hit on nine of 19 passes for 108 yards and a touchdown, while rushing six times for nine yards.
• Connected on eight of 17 passes for 93 yards and a score at Colgate.
• Had a 15-yard completion in the Lehigh game.

HIGH SCHOOL:
• Played for head coach John Holacek at Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Ill.
• Served as team captain during his senior season.
• Received the 2015 Lawless Award as the Chicago Catholic League Most Valuable Player.
• Earned All-State and All-Area honors as a senior.
• Selected as the North Shore Player of the Year following his senior season.
• Threw for 2,752 yards and 33 touchdowns as a senior, to set school records in both categories.
• Led team to a 14-0 record and the Illinois Class 8A state championship as a senior.

PERSONAL:
• Son of John and Maureen Clifford.
• Has three sisters (Mary Kate, Colleen and Ellie).
• Majored in Psychology.
