Holy Cross Athletics

Ryan Mattison is in his second season on the Holy Cross coaching staff, serving as the assistant secondary coach. Last year, he helped secondary coach Richard Rodgers lead a defensive backfield which totaled 11 interceptions, with cornerback Casey Gough earning All-Patriot League honors.Mattison came to the Crusaders from Assumption College, where he spent the 2004 season as the secondary coach, in addition to serving as the team's academic liaison.A 2003 graduate of Boston College, Mattison spent five seasons as a defensive back on the Eagles' football team. During his playing days, he was a part of teams which took part in the Insight Bowl (1999), Aloha Bowl (2000), Music City Bowl (2001), Motor City Bowl (2002) and San Francisco Bowl (2003).Mattison is single and resides in Sterling, Mass.Mattison's Collegiate Coaching File
