Justice Seales

Justice Seales enters his second season as a defensive quality control coach for Holy Cross in 2023.

In 2022, Holy Cross went 11-0 during the regular season for the third time in program history and first time since 1991. The 2022 Crusaders (12-1) recorded the most single-season wins in program history and advanced to the NCAA FCS quarterfinals for the first time since 1983; their lone loss on the campaign was a hard-fought playoff contest to top-seeded South Dakota State, the eventual national champions. Holy Cross finished the year with a No. 6 ranking among all FCS teams as a result of numerous marquee wins, including a Hail Mary victory against FBS foe Buffalo and an overtime win over nationally ranked Fordham; the Crusaders also earned their first win at Harvard since 2000 and defeated Harvard and Yale in the same season for the first time in program history.

Mount St. James is Seales' first collegiate coaching stop. He previously worked for Upward Human Performance in Milford, Conn., where he motivated athletes to become stronger, more agile and more effective through training habits and proper nutrition.

A four-year member of the Marist football team, Seales, a safety, appeared in 31 games, including 10 starts, recording 139 total tackles, two interceptions and a forced fumble. In 2018, Seales was a Honorable Mention All-Pioneer Football League selection and was a two-time PFL Academic Honor Roll honoree.

As a graduate student, Seales competed for Sacred Heart for two seasons as a nickel linebacker and won back-to-back Northeast Conference Championships (2020, 2021). He was a College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District honoree in 2021.

Seales graduated from Marist in May 2020 with a bachelor of arts degree in sports communications. He earned his master of arts degree in teaching from Sacred Heart in May 2022.
