Emil La Marca joined the Holy Cross football staff in 2024 as a defensive quality control assistant.
La Marca previously worked at Springfield College as a graduate assistant over the last two seasons. Most recently, during the 2023 campaign, he worked with the defensive line, coaching two All-Conference honorees and the NEWMAC Defensive Player of the Year in Quinn Sweeney. In 2022, he worked as an outside linebackers coach.
He spent the Spring 2022 season at his alma mater, the University of Rhode Island, as a defensive assistant.
A five-year member of the Rhode Island football team from 2017 to 2021, La Marca played in 34 contests as a defensive lineman and helped lead the Rams to their first winning season in 17 years in 2018. He also served as the treasurer of Rhode Island's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
La Marca earned his Bachelor's degree in communication from Rhode Island in 2021 and is currently working toward a Master's degree in athletic leadership from Springfield.
