Bill Nesselt is in his first year as a member of the Holy Cross football coaching staff in 2016, serving as the outside linebackers coach.
Nesselt joined the Crusaders after spending one year as a defensive quality control coach at Maryland in 2015. He was previously at Ferrum (Va.) College during the 2014 season, serving as the linebackers coach, strength and conditioning coach and interim defensive coordinator. Nesselt was also an assistant coach at St. Thomas Aquinas High School during the 2013 season.
A 2013 graduate of the University of Massachusetts with a bachelor’s degree in sociology, Nesselt played defensive line for the Minutemen in 2009 and 2010 before suffering a career-ending injury. He then served as a volunteer assistant coach at UMass during his junior and senior years.
