Andrae Murphy is in second year on Tom Gilmore’s coaching staff in 2017, serving as the running backs coach. During his first year at Holy Cross, he was the assistant secondary coach.
Murphy joined the Crusaders after serving as a defensive quality control coach at Florida Atlantic in the spring of 2016. He was previously the defensive coordinator at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy during the 2014 and 2015 seasons. During those two years, three of Murphy’s players earned All-Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference honors.
Prior to his time at Massachusetts Maritime, Murphy spent over three years as a member of the United States Army, before receiving an honorable discharge. He was also an assistant coach at Everglades High School from 2009-2011.
Murphy received his bachelor’s degree from Salem State in 2015.
