AS A JUNIOR IN 2021: 

• Named an Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sports Scholar.
• Member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
• Made three appearances on the mound. 
• Threw one shutout inning at UMass (3/31). 
• Did not allow any earned runs and recorded a strikeout in relief appearance vs. Merrimack (4/7). 
• Named to Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. 
• Spring schedule shortened due to COVID-19.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2020:

• Made six relief appearances.
• Allowed three earned runs in 7.0 total innings pitched while giving up just seven hits.
• Threw 2.0 scoreless innings while striking out three at UC Riverside (3/7).  
• Member of Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
• Named a 2020 Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sports Scholar.
• Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
• Season concluded on March 12 due to COVID-19.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2019:

• Posted a 1-0 record in 10 appearances with two starts.
• Recorded a 9.18 ERA in 16.2 innings of work.
• Struck out 10 batters.
• Made collegiate debut vs. No. 15 Baylor (2/15).
• Earned first collegiate win in start vs. Hartford, striking out two batters and allowing only one earned run (4/24).
• Did not allow a baserunner in one inning of work in start vs. Marist (5/1).
• Threw a hitless inning with one strikeout in Patriot League semifinal vs. Army West Point (5/12).
• Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

BEFORE HOLY CROSS:

• Played three seasons of varsity baseball for Regis High School in New York City under head coach George Pisanti.
• Served as team captain during senior year.
• Named Team MVP during senior season and earned Coach’s Award as a junior.
• League Player of the Year during senior year.
• Regis finished in third place in New York CHSAA in 2018.
• All-City First Team selection in junior year.
• Also played two seasons of varsity basketball under head coach Kevin Cullen, winning New York CHSAA State Championship during senior year.
• Member of Order of the Owl for finishing above a 3.8 in freshman, sophomore and senior years.
• Member of Gaelic Society.

PERSONAL:

• Son of Gregory and Rani Clarkin.
• Has one brother (Alex) and one sister (Sophia).
• Majoring in economics.
