Holy Cross Athletics

John Pedrotty begins his first season as an undergraduate assistant baseball coach in 2014-2015. He returns to Holy Cross to finish his degree in Economics after being selected in the 13th round of the 2011 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks (394th overall).

As a pitcher for the Crusaders from 2009-2011, Pedrotty appeared 51 games with 10 starts. During his junior season (2011), he posted a 7-2 overall record on the mound. He recorded a 4.62 earned run average in 60-1/3 innings of work in 2011, to go along with 56 punchouts. Pedrotty was named first team All-Patriot League in 2011. He finished his three-year career with a 14-5 record and 89 strikeouts in 120.1 innings pitched.

A native of Portsmouth, R.I., Pedrotty graduated from Portsmouth High School in 2008.
