AS A SENIOR IN 2021:

• Started all seven of his appearances on the mound.
• Finished with an ERA of 4.06 in 31.0 innings pitched, striking out 28 batters.
• Named Patriot League Pitcher of the Week on April 27.
• Did not allow any earned runs in start vs. Bucknell, striking out five (4/3).
• Threw a nine-inning, complete-game shutout at Navy, striking out seven and allowing just three hits — marking the first nine-inning shutout by a Crusader since 2008 (4/25).
• Struck out a career-high nine batters and did not allow any earned runs in start vs. Lehigh (5/9). 
• Spring schedule shortened due to COVID-19. 

AS A JUNIOR IN 2020:

• Posted a 1-1 record in team-leading 24.1 innings over four starts.
• Recorded a 1.11 ERA with a team-high 20 strikeouts.
• Ranked 62^nd among all Division I pitchers in ERA.
• Two-time Patriot League Pitcher of the Week honoree (2/25, 3/10).
• Ranked second in Patriot League in ERA, third in innings pitched and seventh in strikeouts.
• Allowed just two extra-base hits, 25 hits, three earned runs and eight walks with no wild pitches.
• Gave up just one earned run in first career start at South Carolina (2/15).
• Threw a career-high eight shutout innings at Old Dominion, striking out four and walking one while allowing just seven hits (2/22).
• Allowed one earned run on six hits in 6.0 innings of work at CSU Bakersfield, with a career-high eight strikeouts (2/29).
• In 6.0 innings at UC Riverside, allowed only one earned run on six hits with six strikeouts (3/6).
• Earned Perry-Conlon Award as Holy Cross’ Most Outstanding Pitcher.
• Season concluded on March 12 due to COVID-19.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2019:

• Went 1-1 with a save in 20 relief appearances.
• Posted a 6.38 ERA in 36.2 innings pitched.
• Recorded 34 strikeouts.
• In Patriot League play, had a 3.65 ERA with 11 strikeouts in 12.1 innings pitched.
• Pitched 2.0 no-hit innings with two strikeouts in team’s victory over Nicholls (3/3).
• Threw 3.0 no-hit innings with three strikeouts to earn save vs. Lafayette (4/21).
• Threw one scoreless inning to earn victory over Army West Point (4/27).

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2018:

• Appeared in 10 games in relief for the Crusaders.
• Posted a 9.00 ERA in 13 innings pitched.
• Threw one no-hit inning at Georgia Southern (3/7). 
• Recorded 1.1 scoreless innings with two strikeouts vs. Connecticut (4/24). 

BEFORE HOLY CROSS:

• Competed two years at each St. John Neumann (freshman and sophomore) and Gulf Coast (junior and senior).
• Won district championship with St. John Neumann as a sophomore.
• Served as team captain as a senior at Gulf Coast.
• Named second team all-conference and first team all-district as a senior.
• Won regional championship with Gulf Coast as a senior.

PERSONAL:

• Son of Tim and Amy Dawson.
• Has one brother (Noah) who competed in two years of baseball at Methodist.
• Majoring in political science.
