Beckstein's late-game heroics lead women's soccer to first Patriot League win

WORCESTER, Mass.- Senior defender Karenna Beckstein delivered a performance for the ages in the waning minutes of Wednesday's game against Colgate, scoring twice within a minute to help Holy Cross rally for a 2-1 victory on Sept. 30 at Linda Johnson Smith Soccer Stadium. The Crusaders improve to 5-4-2 overall and 1-1-1 in Patriot League play while the Raiders fall to 1-9-2 overall and 0-3-0 in league play.

Holy Cross snapped a scoreless streak of more than 190 minutes to earn the victory. The win marked the Crusaders' second come-from-behind victory of the season. Beckstein became the second Holy Cross player to record a brace this season, joining Sam Halligan, who scored twice against Stonehill on Aug. 19.
