WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's tennis team fell by a 5-2 score to non-conference opponent Iona Friday afternoon at the Sinnott Family Tennis Facility.

Freshman Max Frias made his collegiate debut and earned a 7-6, 5-2 victory at No. 4 singles for his first career victory.

DOUBLES PLAY:

• Iona brought home the doubles point taking all three doubles matches.

SINGLES ACTION:

• The Gaels captured four of six singles matches to clinch the win.
• Senior Matt Carlson was victorious at No. 1 singles winning 6-4, 1-6, 6-3.

NEXT UP:

• The Crusaders host the Holy Cross Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 26-27.
