WORCESTER, Mass. – Sophomore midfielder

Archie Hatcher both scored goals, as the Holy Cross men's soccer team tied Merrimack 2-2 at the Linda Johnson Smith Soccer Stadium. The Crusaders move to 0-1-1 on the year, while the Warriors now stand 0-1-1 overall.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Merrimack opened the scoring in the 11th minute with a goal from Keller Cassidy.
• Jonathan Kratz then scored in the 26th minute, and the Warriors led 2-0 at halftime.
• Holy Cross responded in the 57th minute, when Hatcher headed in a cross by freshman forward
Jude Jakes-McKay to cut the deficit to 2-1.
• Then in the 70th minute, Fiedler headed in a pass from sophomore forward
Liam Heneghan to tie up the score at 2-2.
• Neither team was able to score again, and the game ended in a draw.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
• The Crusaders finished the day with a 12-5 advantage in shots and a 6-1 edge in corner kicks.
• Freshman goalkeeper
Caleb Klepacz made one save.
• Hatcher now has 17 points on seven goals and three assists in 18 career games played.
SENIOR DAY:
• Prior to the contest, nine senior members of the program who will be concluding their collegiate careers at the end of the 2026 season were honored in a pregame ceremony.
