The Holy Cross football team has announced its four captains for the 2026 season: fifth year offensive lineman Cam Nolan, senior edge Carlo Crocetti, senior linebacker Adam Due and senior defensive back Chisom Onwuzurigbo.
"I'm incredibly excited for Cam, Carlo, Adam and Chizz to lead our team this year," said Holy Cross football head coach Dan Curran. "These four embody all of our program ideals, are trusted leaders, and are terrific representatives of our program on and off the field."
Nolan is now a two-time captain for the Crusaders. A Preseason All-Patriot League and Preseason All-America selection, he is a two-time All-Patriot League honoree, earning first team honors during the 2025 season. Additionally in 2025, he was named All-New England and received the Davitt Award as the team's offensive player of the year. Nolan was a semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy in 2025 and was also an Academic All-Patriot League selection. He has started 20 consecutive games at right guard for the Crusaders, and has appeared in 33 games during his Holy Cross career.
Crocetti has played in 34 total games in a Holy Cross uniform, including starting all 12 games a season ago at linebacker. In 2025, he totaled 48 tackles, 9.5 TFLs, eight sacks for 66 yards lost, one interception, four quarterback hurries and one pass breakup. His eight sacks ranked as the most on the team while his 9.5 total TFLs were the second-most on the squad. Crocetti was selected as a Phil Steele Preseason All-Patriot League honoree headed into the year.
Due has made 17 career appearances as a Crusader, including appearing in 11 games during the 2025 campaign. He was a key component of the Holy Cross defense and special teams unit a season ago, with 47 total tackles, five TFLs, two sacks, two forced fumbles, one interception, two quarterback hurries, three pass breakups, two blocked kicks and two punts returned for seven yards. Due also earned Phil Steele Preseason All-Patriot League accolades headed into the year and has been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
Onwuzurigbo has played in 27 career games at Holy Cross. Last season, he recorded 31 tackles, including 17 solo tackles, in addition to one fumble recovery, one interception and four pass breakups. His four pass breakups rank as the most among all returning Crusaders. He is a three-time Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selection.
The unit was selected from the team-voted, 16-member leadership council, consisting of representatives from varied position groups and class years.
