WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior
Mackenzie Creagh made 12 saves, to lead the Holy Cross women's lacrosse team to a 12-8 victory over Boston University at Kuzniewski Field. The Crusaders improve to 7-9 on the season and 5-4 in the Patriot League with the win, while the Terriers fall to 8-9 overall and 4-5 in the conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Boston University opened the game by jumping out to a 3-0 advantage after the first eight minutes of play, and went on to hold a 5-2 lead at halftime.
• Holy Cross opened the third quarter with a 5-2 run, including two goals and two assists from sophomore
Hadley Cepiel, to tie the score at 7-7.
• After the Terriers went back up 8-7 heading into the fourth quarter, the Crusader closed the game with five unanswered goals to pull away for the win.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
• Cepiel finished the evening with a team-best six points on three goals and three assists.

Tory Rider scored two goals each, while junior
Kate Avitabile tallied four points on a goal and three assists.

Racheli Levy-Smith totaled 12 draw controls, three ground balls and two caused turnovers.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• Levy-Smith now has 170 draw controls on the year, tying her own school single-season record.
• Holy Cross has now finished with a winning record in Patriot League play for three consecutive seasons, tying the longest streak in program history.
UP NEXT:
• Holy Cross will return to action on Sunday, April 26, when it opens up Patriot League Tournament play at Bucknell.
