Coach Ladino announces 2030 Holy Cross softball signing class

WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross head softball coach Jon Ladino has announced that seven student-athletes will comprise the Crusaders' incoming class of 2030. The class consists of Brielle Bakker, Jenna Cocuzza, Victoria Fish, Reagan Magno, Ainsley Nutting, Madison Payne and Gabby Peralta. 

"We are tremendously excited to welcome the class of 2030 to Holy Cross", said Ladino. "These seven student athletes all share in a love of softball, competition and Holy Cross. We believe they are going to help continue to push our program forward and embody what we are looking for in our recruits."

Brielle Bakker | MIF/Utility | R/R | 5-4 | Hawthorne, N.J. | Immaculate Heart Academy 
  • Played four seasons of varsity softball for head coach Diana Fasano at Immaculate Heart Academy
  • Won a Bergen County championship as a junior
  • Two-time All-Big North United Division selection as a sophomore and junior
  • Served as a team captain during senior season
  • Posted a career .356 batting average
  • Played club softball for Lady Dukes 18U Gaskill/Lamar Gold. 
  • Recorded a combined .371 batting average and .917 fielding percentage between the fall of 2024 and summer of 2025
  • Honor Roll student and member of National Honor Society
  • Plans to major in engineering at Holy Cross
Coach Ladino on Brielle Bakker: "As a middle infielder, Brielle brings great range and quick, smooth hands. She is tremendously committed to her craft and I am excited to watch her compete at the next level." 

Jenna Cocuzza | MIF/OF | R/R | 5-4 | Millstone, N.J. | Notre Dame High School 
  • Played four seasons of varsity softball for head coach Michael McQuarrie
  • Helped lead the team to two Mercer County championships (2023, 2024)
  • Named Tournament MVP in 2024
  • Competed for the Jersey Outlaws Wally club team
  • National Honor Society student
  • Plans to major in biology at Holy Cross
Coach Ladino on Jenna Cocuzza: "Jenna is a true utility player whose athleticism serves her well all over the diamond. She brings speed, relentless effort and competitiveness to every play on the field." 

Victoria Fish | C/1B | R/R | 5-11 | Milton, Mass. | Milton High School
  • Four-year member of the varsity softball team under head coach Charlie Drane
  • Three-time Bay State Conference All-Star
  • Served as a two-time team captain
  • .374 career hitter with 15 home runs and 75 RBI
  • Played for the Fury Platinum 18U club team
  • 2025 Team NJ 18U summer champions & 2025 Power 12 co-champions
  • Played four years of varsity basketball and three years of varsity volleyball
  • Member of National Honor Society
  • Honor Roll student
  • Undecided on a major
Coach Ladino on Victoria Fish: "Victoria brings a consistent presence behind the plate and a power bat into the lineup. Finding the best Massachusetts talent and bringing it to Holy Cross is always very special." 

Reagan Magno | P/UTIL | R/R | 5-9 | New Galilee, Pa. | Mohawk Junior Senior High School
  • Played four seasons of varsity softball for head coach Hank Pezzuolo
  • Served as a team captain during junior and senior seasons
  • Three-time section honoree and two-time WPIAL honoree
  • Helped lead Mohawk to three section titles and two District VII championships
  • Competed for the Team Pennsylvania club team
  • Also played volleyball and basketball at Mohawk
  • Honors student
  • Plans to major in biology at Holy Cross
Coach Ladino on Reagan Magno: "Reagan brings the quiet confidence we are looking for in our pitchers. She commands the zone well and her pitching IQ is off the charts." 

Ainsley Nutting | C/1B/UTIL | R/R | 5-8 | Manhattan Beach, Calif. | Harvard-Westlake School
  • Played four seasons of varsity softball under head coach Lessa Harris
  • Two-time team captain
  • Three-time All-League selection and named Offensive MVP as a junior
  • Led the team to a 2024 Mission League championship
  • Career .506 hitter
  • Competed for Firecrackers Premiere RTY on the club level and played in two PGF national championships
  • Intends to major in Psychology at Holy Cross
Coach Ladino on Ainsley Nutting: "Ainsley brings the work ethic and versatility we look for in our recruits. The ability to impact the team behind the plate and on the corners makes her a great add to this recruiting class."

Madison Payne | RHP | R/R | 5-10 | Whittier, Calif. | La Habra High School
  • Team captain from 2024-2026
  • Career ERA of 1.47 with 17 wins and 2 losses overall 
  • Top 25 freshman through junior year
  • Honors at Entrance (freshman year)
  • Student Athlete Award (freshman through senior year)
  • National Honors Society (junior and senior year)
  • CSF
  • AP Scholar
Coach Ladino on Madison Payne: "Madison is an excellent addition to our pitching staff. She brings high velocity with excellent spin and is confident in any pitching role she is placed in."

 Gabby Peralta | 3B/UTL | R/R | 5-3 | North Kingstown, R.I. | North Kingstown High School
  • Four years member of varsity softball program
  • Team captain 2025 and 2026
  • 2025 All-Academic Team
  • Principal Honors (2023, 2024, 2025, 2026)
  • National Honors Society (2025, 2026)
  • Also played soccer
Coach Ladino on Gabby Peralta: "Highly regarded around New England, Gabriella brings speed, athleticism and drive. She can play all over the park and can hit anywhere in a lineup. "
