WORCESTER, Mass. – Junior guard/forward
Gabe Warren scored a career-high 30 points as the Holy Cross men's basketball team fell to Patriot League foe Loyola (Md.) 76-62 Saturday afternoon on Bob Cousy '50 Court.
Warren was 10-of-17 (58.8 percent) from the field and 9-of-10 (90.0 percent) at the line with seven rounds, two assists and a blocked shot for the Crusaders (10-21, 5-13 PL). Along with the career-high point total, he set single-game career bests in field goal conversions (10) and matched a personal-best with nine free throws. He was joined in double-figures by sophomore guard
Tyler Boston (13 points).
Loyola (Md.) (12-19, 8-10 PL) was led by Emmett Adair who dropped 25 points with seven boards, two assists and a steal.

Jaden Kirkwood and team manager Aiden Konold.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Loyola began the game on a 12-0 run to take an early double digit lead. Warren stopped the run with an and1, the Crusaders first points to trail 12-3 at the 13:59 mark. The Greyhounds kept attacking using a 14-4 run to hold a 19-point, 26-7 lead with under 10 minutes left in the first half.
- Down 19, Holy Cross kept at it closing the half on a 9-3 burst to do gown 37-24 at the intermission with Warren, Boston and sophomore forward Aidan Richard scoring in the stretch.
- In the second half, back-to-back hoop and harms from sophomore forward Chuck Hare and Boston brought the Crusaders within 15, 50-35. Loyola's lead grew to a high of 22 with 9:39 left at 66-44.
- Holy Cross dumped in 13 straight as Warren's tough take through the paint, a freshman forward Aiden Disu three-ball, a Disu free throw and a junior guard DeAndre Williams mid-range jumper made it 66-57 with 5:57 left which was the closest the Crusaders would come.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Warren became the first Crusader since Joe Octave (33, at Georgetown – Nov. 11, 2023) to score 30 points in a game for Holy Cross.
- After going 0-for-14 over a seven game stretch (Jan. 17-Feb. 7) from three, Disu is 11-for-19 (57.9 percent) from range over his last six games.
- Disu established a new career-high with four blocks in the game.
- The Crusaders have turned the ball over 12 or fewer times in 21 of the last 23 games.

- Holy Cross will hit the road for the Patriot League Tournament First Round on Tuesday, March 3 to take on either Lafayette or Loyola (Md.).
