Men’s basketball ships up to Boston University Wednesday evening

The Holy Cross men's basketball team plays its final regular-season away game when they head to Boston University for a 7 p.m. tip-off on Wednesday Feb. 25 in Case Gymnasium. The contest will stream live on ESPN+ with Brian Mauer (play-by-play), John Papale (analyst) and Reed Keller (sidelines) on the call.

WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT HOLY CROSS (10-19, 5-11 PL): 
  • The Crusaders picked up 72-63 road win at Bucknell on Sunday afternoon. Junior guard/forward Gabe Warren scored a contest-best 21 points with seven rebounds, three assists and three steals going a perfect 8-for-8 (100 percent) at the free throw line while sophomore guard Tyler Boston dropped 19 points with a career-high matching seven boards, four assists, three three-pointers and a steal.
  • Boston was named Patriot League Honorable Mention on Monday by the conference office for the fifth time this season. Boston averaged 17.5 points, 4.5 assists on 48 percent (12-of-25) shooting from the floor and 45.5 percent shooting from three-point range to help Holy Cross go 1-1 last week.
  • Warren leads Holy Cross with five career games of 20+ points since 2024-25. Four of Warren's 20+ point efforts have come in 2025-26 and the Crusaders are 3-1 (.750) in those games.
  • Sophomore forward Aiden Disu became the first Crusader since Gerrale Gates (Jan. 21-Jan. 30, 2021) to score 20+ points in four straight games. Over his last 10 games, Disu is averaging team-highs in scoring (14.5), rebounding (5.8) and blocks (1.1), while shooting a team best 55 percent (55-for-100) from the hardwood and 84.8 percent (28-for-33) at the line.
  • Holy Cross is the seventh ranked Patriot League team in the 2026 Pomeroy College Basketball Ratings (327th). They rank 303th (102.0) in offensive rating and 322nd (117.7) in defensive rating.
SCOUTING THE TERRIERS (13-16, 8-8 PL): 
  • The Terriers are coming off a 70-67 loss at Lehigh Sunday in a game broadcast on CBS Sports Network. Michael McNair paced the Terriers with 17 points, three rebounds, three steals and an assist in the setback.
  • McMair, a one-time Patriot League Player of the Week back on Jan. 12, ranks fourth in the NCAA in three-point percentage (45.7), and ninth in three-pointers (95).
  • As a team, BU ranks first in the Patriot League and fifth in the country in three-point percentage (39.7) and second in the conference and 45th in the nation in three-pointers per game (9.7).
  • Ben Defty (third, 68.1) is one of two Patriot League student-athletes (1. Aidan Kehoe, 73.8) who rank within the top-three in the NCAA in field goal percentage.
  • The Terriers are the fourth ranked Patriot League team in the 2026 Pomeroy College Basketball Ratings (265th). They rank 121st (112.5) in offensive rating and 351st (121.5) in defensive rating.
LAST TIME THEY MET: 
  • Holy Cross is 62-30 (.674) in the series history against Boston University which began back in 1903.
  • In their last meeting on Feb. 2, the Terriers earned a 72-64 win in the Hart Center Arena. Junior guard DeAndre Williams scored a career-high matching 20 points going 4-for-6 (66.7 percent) from deep.
