Men’s basketball travels to Bucknell Sunday

The Holy Cross men's basketball team travels to Bucknell for a Patriot League bout on Sunday, Feb. 22 with tip-off slated for noon in Sojka Pavilion. The contest will stream live on ESPN+.

WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT HOLY CROSS (9-19, 4-11 PL): 
  • Holy Cross is coming off an 86-83 setback to Patriot League foe Lafayette Wednesday evening on Bob Cousy '50 Court. Four players scored double-figures including freshman forward Aiden Disu who dropped 20 points on 75.0 percent (9-of-12) shooting with a pair of rebounds and a pair of blocks.
  • Disu was named Patriot League Honorable Mention on Monday by the conference office. He freshman averaged 21.0 points and 7.0 rebounds on 61.5 percent (16-of-26) shooting going 62.5% (5-of-9) from three-point land for the Crusaders in a pair of games last week.
  • Disu is the first Crusader since Gerrale Gates (Jan. 21-Jan. 30, 2021) to score 20+ points in four straight games. Over his last four games, Disu is averaging team-highs in scoring (20.8) and rebounding (6.3), while averaging 1.3 blocks and 0.8 steals per game on 67.3 percent (33-of-49) from the field and 50.0 percent (6-of-12) from deep. Disu could become the first Crusader with five consecutive 20+ point efforts since Rob Feaster (Feb. 4-18, 1995).
  • Sophomore guard Tyler Boston has 10 games of 5+ assists this season. Per sports-reference.com, he ranks ninth in the league in assist percentage (22.7).
  • Holy Cross is the eighth ranked Patriot League team in the 2026 Pomeroy College Basketball Ratings (330th). They rank 304th (101.8) in offensive rating and 329th (118.2) in defensive rating.
SCOUTING THE BISON (8-20, 5-10 PL): 
  • Bucknell has lost four straight games including a 75-57 loss at home to American on Wednesday evening. Amon Dorries scored a game-high 21 points with five rebounds and three assists in the loss.
  • Dorries is a four-time Patriot League Rookie of the Week this season. He ranks fifth in the league in field goal percentage (53.0) and  eighth in scoring (15.3).
  • As a team, Bucknell ranks first in the Patriot League and 28th in the nation in free throw percentage (77.0).
  • The Bison are the ninth ranked Patriot League team in the 2026 Pomeroy College Basketball Ratings (335th). They rank 343rd (98.4) in offensive rating and 289th (115.4) in defensive rating.
LAST TIME THEY MET: 
  • Holy Cross is 35-51 (.407) in the series history against Bucknell which began back in 1991.
  • In their last meeting on Dec. 31, 2024, the Crusaders earned a 65-58 win at home in the Hart Center Arena. Junior guard/forward Gabe Warren scored a team-high 14 points with five rebounds and four assists.
