ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Two school records fell, as the Holy Cross women's swimming and diving team competed in day one of the Patriot League Championship at Lejeune Hall. Through two events, the Crusaders stand in ninth place as a team with 84 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The 200-yard medley relay team of sophomore
Ellie Reinhart, sophomore
Josie Gieseman, junior
Devin Brindle and senior
Nora Smillie took ninth place with a school-record time of 1:44.12.
• Reinhart's leadoff split of 26.42 broke the school record in the 50-yard backstroke.
• In the 800-yard freestyle relay, the team of Brindle, junior
Kat Anticev, junior
Courtney Boghosian and senior
Ainsley Nalen came in eighth in a time of 7:31.43.
UP NEXT:
• Holy Cross will continue competition in the Patriot League Championship on Thursday, Feb. 18.
