NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – Senior
Alexia Moreau scored her team-leading 12th goal of the season, as the 14th-ranked Holy Cross women's ice hockey team tied Merrimack 1-1 at Lawler Arena. The Crusaders move to 18-10-3 on the season and 10-9-3 in Hockey East, while the Warriors now stand 6-21-4 overall and 3-16-2 in the conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Merrimack opened the scoring with just 13 seconds remaining in the first period on a goal by Avery Anderson.
• Holy Cross tied up the game in the second period when Moreau knocked in a pass from freshman
Violet Carroll.
• After neither team scored in the third period or in overtime, the teams went to a shootout.
• Maria Lindberg and McKenzie Cerrato both scored in the shootout to give the Warriors the extra point in the Hockey East standings.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
• Senior
Abby Hornung made 23 saves on the day.
• Holy Cross finished the game with a 30-24 advantage in shots on goal.
• Moreau's 12 goals this year are tied for the most by any Crusader in a single season since the program joined Hockey East.

• Holy Cross returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 14, when it heads to Providence for a 1 p.m. game.
