CUMBERLAND, R.I. - The Holy Cross men's tennis team hosted Brigham Young on Thursday in Cumberland, R.I. and dropped a 7-0 decision to the Cougars.

Holy Cross drops to 1-5 on the season with the defeat while BYU (7-0) remains unblemished.  

DOUBLES PLAY:

• BYU earned the doubles point taking two of three doubles matches.
• Sophomore Ezequiel De la Plaza junior Teddy Callery were victorious at No. 2 doubles picking up a 7-6 win against Caden Hasler and Alex Edmonston.

SINGLES ACTION:

• BYU captured all singles matches to complete the shutout victory.
• De la Plaza (No. 1) and senior Patrick Ling (No. 6) almost pulled off wins in their matchups.

NEXT UP:

• The Crusaders continue non-conference action on Sunday, Feb. 15 at Siena (1-4).
