Men’s tennis downed in spring opener at Brown

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Holy Cross men's tennis team started their spring slate at Brown on Sunday and suffered a 7-0 setback to the host Bears.

Holy Cross falls to 1-2 with the loss while Brown remains undefeated in dual matches at 3-0.

DOUBLES PLAY:
  • The Bears took both no. 1 and no. 3 doubles for the doubles point.
  • Sophomore Ezequiel De la Plaza and junior Teddy Callery earned a win at No. 2 doubles knocking off Elliot Wasserman and Theo Murphy 7-6.
SINGLES ACTION:
  • Brown brought home all single matches to complete the shutout victory.
NEXT UP:
  • The Crusaders will be back on the court Saturday, Feb. 7 to face off with Dartmouth (3-0) at 5 p.m.
