Men’s basketball hosts Boston University Monday in nationally-televised contest

The Holy Cross men's basketball team is back at home to square off against Boston University in the Hart Center Arena on Monday, Feb. 2 at 7 p.m. The contest will be broadcast nationally on CBS Sports Network with Jason Knapp (play-by-play) and Mo Cassara (analyst) on the call.

WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT HOLY CROSS (8-15, 3-7 PL): 
  • Holy Cross dropped their fifth straight contest a 69-68 decision at Army on Saturday. The Crusaders had a chance for a buzzer beater, but the shot was off the mark. Freshman forward Aiden Disu posted his second career double-double scoring a team-high 14 points with 10 boards in the setback.
  • Disu went 6-for-6 (100 percent) at the line against Army and is 20-for-21 (95.2 percent) over his last six games from the charity stripe. He is the Crusaders' best free throw shooter during conference action ranking seventh in the league in free throw percentage (86.2).
  • Junior forward Declan Ryan and classmate, guard/forward Gabe Warren are two of the most efficient players in the league via field goal percentage in conference play. Ryan comes in fourth at 61.5 percent (24-of-39) and Warren eighth at 55.7 percent (43-for-79).
  • As a team, the Crusaders rank second in the Patriot League and 40th in the nation in fouls per game (15.5).
  • Holy Cross Athletics announced on Monday, Dec. 22nd that the court in the Hart Center Arena will be dedicated and named in honor of Crusader and NBA legend Bob Cousy. A formal dedication of the Bob Cousy '50 Court will take place on Saturday, Feb. 7 prior to the game against Lehigh on Winter Homecoming Weekend.
  • Holy Cross is the ninth ranked Patriot League team in the 2026 Pomeroy College Basketball Ratings (329th). They rank 313th (101.0) in offensive rating and 305th (116.2) in defensive rating.
SCOUTING THE TERRIERS (8-15, 3-7 PL): 
  • BU has lost three straight games and five of their last six following a 103-97 double-overtime loss at Bucknell on Saturday. Chance Gladden scored a team-best 34 points with four assists and four rebounds going 17-for-18 (94.4 percent) at the line in the loss.
  • Gladden, is a one time-Patriot League Rookie of the Week. He is the Patriot League leader in free throw percentage (89.4 percent), while ranking third in assists per game (4.5), fourth in assists (99), fourth in free throws (84) and fifth in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.7).
  • Michael McNair, a one-time Patriot League Player of the Week is ranks seventh in the nation in three-point percentage (45.0). He also leads the conference and ranks 16th in the country in three-point conversions (72) and in three-pointers per game (3.1) which is 29th in the NCAA.
  • As a team, the Terriers are the conference leader in three-point percentage (37.9) which is 22nd in the nation.
  • BU is the fourth ranked Patriot League team in the 2026 Pomeroy College Basketball Ratings (297th). They rank 161st (109.6) in offensive rating and 355th (121.3) in defensive rating.
LAST TIME THEY MET: 
  • Holy Cross is 62-29 (.681) in the series history against Boston University which began back in 1903. The Crusaders are 11-12 (.478) against the Terriers in the Hart Center Arena.
  • In their last meeting on Feb. 8, 2025, the Crusaders earned a 72-52 win at home in the Hart Center Arena. Then-sophomore DeAndre Williams scored 16 points with five rebounds and four assists in the victory.
