WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's rowing team competed in its final race of the fall season on Saturday morning at Lake Quinsigamond, winning four events at the Wormtown Chase.

RESULTS:

• In the Collegiate 8+, the 'A' entry finished first with a time of 16:45.9, three seconds ahead of the next boat. The 'B' entry finished fifth with a time of 17:05.4.
• The 'A' 4+ won the Collegiate 4+ event with a time of 18:41.3, 19 seconds ahead of the next closest entry. The 'B' 4+ finished fourth with a 19:32.2, followed by the 'C' entry with a 19:39.9.
• The duo of Maeve Dowd and Maggie Jinks won the Collegiate 2x with a time of 20:34.2, 35 seconds ahead of the next-closest entry.
• The duo of Chloe Stoeckl and Sydney Neil won the 2- with a time of 21:01.1, followed by Mary Schmitz and Rachael Mata in second with a time of 21:40.0.
• Holy Cross entered four racers into the 1x, finishing third, fourth, fifth, and sixth. Sasha Bornhorst crossed first for the Crusaders with a time of 23:39.5, followed by Madeline Anderson with a 24:04.7, Sam Stott with a 24:08.3, and Lisa O'Leary with a 28:31.2.

• "Today the women showcased incredible depth, rounding out a long day of mostly double-racing with four golds and countless strong finishes against competitive Division II and Division III programs. We are also happy to see how the women leveraged themselves in a large group of small boat entries, having invested heavily into the small boats earlier this fall. Always fun to see the women come down the line in 8+s, 4+s, 2-s, a 2x, and many 1xs.
• This group is locked in for the year ahead, but we aren't satisfied yet. If we want to throw heat this spring, we must lean into these next few months of mileage."
