WORCESTER, Mass. – Junior
Devin Brindle and sophomore
Ellie Reinhart both won two individual events, as the Holy Cross women's swimming and diving team defeated Sacred Heart 180-120 at the Hart Center at the Luth Athletic Complex. The Crusaders improve to 2-4 on the season, while the Pioneers fall to 9-5 overall.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Reinhart won the 100-yard backstroke (59.20) and the 200-yard backstroke (2:08.51), in addition to taking second in the 200-yard individual medley (2:14.29).
• Brindle claimed first place in both the 100-yard freestyle (54.20) and the 100-yard butterfly (58.67).
• Other Crusaders to finish in first place included junior
Kat Anticev (1,000-yard freestyle / 10:49.33), sophomore
Nora Herbstzuber (100-yard breaststroke / 1:08.69) and junior
Megan Nelson (200-yard butterfly / 2:10.93).
• Holy Cross also won both the 200-yard medley relay (Reinhart, sophomore
Josie Gieseman, Brindle and senior
Nora Smillie / 1:49.22) and the 400-yard freestyle relay (senior
Ainsley Nalen, Smillie, junior
Courtney Boghosian and Brindle / 3:40.17).
SENIOR DAY:
• Prior to the meet, four senior members of the program who will be concluding their collegiate careers at the end of the 2025-2026 season were honored in a special ceremony.

Nora Smillie were all recognized.

• Holy Cross will return to action next Saturday, Jan. 31, when it travels to Providence for a 1 p.m. meet.
