KINGSTON, N.Y. – Junior
Sophie Quinones finished in 17th place as an individual, as the Holy Cross women's golf squad came in eighth as a team in the Stonehill Invitational at the Wiltwyck Golf Club.
INDIVIDUAL RESULTS:
• Quinones shot 78-75, to finish the tournament at nine-over par (153).
• Senior
Julianna Megan came in 25th, posting scores of 82-74 (156).
• Junior
Sophia Cellura finished in 35th place at 158 (81-77).
• Rounding out the field for the Crusaders were senior
Carly Costaregni (40th / 161) and sophomore
Lily Staiti (46th / 164).
• Abbey Baker of Fairleigh Dickinson claimed first place as an individual at four-under par (140).
TEAM SCORES:
• Merrimack won the team title with a two-round total of 590 strokes (14-over par).
• Holy Cross finished with a total of 626 strokes.
UP NEXT:
• The Crusaders return to action when they face Richmond at the Doonbeg Golf Club in Doonbeg, Ireland, on Oct. 12.
