NEW YORK CITY – The Holy Cross baseball team dropped a nonconference doubleheader to Columbia 8-4 in game one and 13-10 in game two on Saturday afternoon at Robertson Field at Satow Stadium.
The Patriot League tournament champion Crusaders fell to 31-25 with the losses while the Ivy League tournament champion Lions extended their winning streak to nine straight games and move to 29-17 overall. Both teams await their NCAA Regional opponent during the 2025 NCAA College Baseball Selection Show on Monday, May 26 broadcast by ESPN2 at noon.
During game one, senior shortstop

Simon Landry pinch hit and walloped his first collegiate home run in the sixth inning. Trailing 13-5 in the top of the ninth, Holy Cross scored five runs, but could not get any closer.
