ORANGE, Fla. — The Holy Cross men's golf team opened its season at the Sacred Heart Spring Invitational at the Eagle Harbor Country Club. The team finished sixth place overall with play concluding on Thursday, Mar. 6.

Senior captain Nolan Schuermann was Holy Cross's top finisher coming in sixth place after firing a 75 on day one and a 74 on the final day of play for a 149 (+5) performance. 

After two rounds of the 36-hole course, the Crusaders finished with a score of 613 (+37) as a team.

• "A great start in the first tournament of the spring season for the men's golf team," said Director of Golf Steve Napoli. "Extremely proud of our senior captains, Nolan Schuermann (sixth) and Owen Egan (shared ninth), who had terrific tournaments."

• The Crusaders return to action from Mar. 10 through 11 for The Surf Club Invitational hosted by Appalachian State in North Myrtle Beach, S.C. at The Surf Club.
