The Holy Cross men's basketball team hits the road this week for a 6 p.m. game at Army West Point on Wednesday, Feb. 5. The contest between the Crusaders and the Black Knights will be shown live by the Patriot League on ESPN+.
Holy Cross owns an overall record of 11-12 on the year, with a 3-7 mark in the Patriot League. The Crusaders are coming off a narrow 69-67 loss to Lehigh on Saturday. Freshman guard
Max Green leads the team by averaging 14.2 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game. Sophomore forward
Joe Nugent has added 12.3 points and 5.4 rebounds per contest, while senior forward
Caleb Kenney is chipping in with 11.5 points, 4.6 boards and 0.8 blocks per game.
Army stands 12-10 overall this season with a 6-4 record in the Patriot League. The Black Knights have lost two of their last three games, including a 71-68 setback at American on Saturday. Senior guard Jalen Rucker has led the team by averaging 17.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game, while hitting 75.9 percent of his free throw attempts. Sophomore forward Josh Scovens has put up 15.8 points and 4.3 rebounds per contest, with sophomore guard Ryan Curry adding 12.4 points and 4.0 assists per game.
After the game at Army, Holy Cross will return home to face Boston University on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 12 p.m.
