The Holy Cross men's basketball team wraps up the regular season when it plays host to Bucknell on Saturday, March 1, at 2 p.m. The game between the Crusaders and the Raiders will be shown live by the Patriot League on ESPN+. This will be Senior Day at the Hart Center, with a pregame ceremony honoring the senior class beginning at approximately 1:45 p.m.
Holy Cross owns an overall record of 13-17 on the year, with a 5-12 mark in the Patriot League. The Crusaders will be seeded either eighth, ninth or 10th in the conference tournament, based on the outcome of Saturday's games. Freshman guard
Max Green leads the team by averaging 14.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. Sophomore forward
Joe Nugent has added 12.0 points and 5.3 rebounds per contest, while senior forward
Caleb Kenney is chipping in with 11.2 points, 4.8 boards and 0.9 blocks per game.
Bucknell stands 16-14 overall this season, including a 12-5 record in the Patriot League. The Bison will be either the first or second seed in the conference tournament. Junior center Noah Williamson has led the team by averaging 17.1 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game, while hitting 52.4 percent of his field goal attempts. Senior guard Josh Bascoe has also been playing well, with averages of 15.5 points, 4.4 assists and 3.7 rebounds per contest.
After the contest with Bucknell, Holy Cross will open play in the Patriot League Tournament on Tuesday, March 4.
