WORCESTER, Mass. — Senior forward Caleb Kenney tied his career-high with 25 points and pulled down 11 rebounds, but the Holy Cross men's basketball team was defeated by Lehigh 69-67 at the Hart Center at the Luth Athletic Complex. The Crusaders fall to 11-12 on the year and 3-7 in the Patriot League, while the Mountain Hawks improve to 8-13 overall and 3-7 in the conference.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
• Holy Cross held a 42-33 rebounding advantage and hit 46.8 percent of its field goal attempts, but only connected on 33.3 percent of its three-pointers.
• Lehigh only made 42.9 percent of its shots from the floor, but held a 20-8 edge in free throw attempts.
• Sophomore guard DeAndre Williams finished the day with a career-best 17 points and four assists.
• The Mountain Hawks were led by Cam Gillus with 16 points and 10 rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The game was close early on, and Lehigh held a 20-19 advantage after the first 13:13 of action.
• The Mountain Hawks then used a 10-4 spurt to go in front by seven (30-23), and went on to lead 40-35 heading into the locker room.
• Lehigh stayed in front early in the second half, eventually extending the margin to 14 points (56-42) with 11:48 left to play.
• The Crusaders then scored 14 straight points to tie up the game at 56-56 with 7:43 to go.
• Kenney scored six of his points during that run.
• The score was later tied at 64-64, before Joshua Ingram hit a jumper with 1:04 remaining to give the Mountain Hawks the lead for good.
• Lehigh was clinging to a 69-66 lead in the final moments, before fouling Williams with 3.4 seconds on the clock to prevent a three-point attempt.
• After Williams hit the first free throw and intentionally missed the second, sophomore forward Joe Nugent came up with an offensive rebound, but his 12-foot jumper in the lane was just off the mark as time expired.
