WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross freshman forward
Violet Carroll has been named the Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week for September/October. Carroll becomes the first player in program history to win Hockey East Rookie of the Month honors.
Carroll helped lead the Crusaders to a 7-2 start over the first month of the year, while totaling a team-best 10 points on three goals and seven assists. She also tallied two game-winning goals and finished the month with a plus-seven rating. Carroll had at least one point in seven of nine games played, with three multi-point games.
Holy Cross (7-4 overall, 0-3 Hockey East) returns to action on Friday, Nov. 7, when it travels to Merrimack for a 6 p.m. game.
