LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Holy Cross field hockey team fell to Bucknell, 4-1, Saturday in Patriot League action at Graham Field at Holmes Stadium.
With the win, Bucknell improves to 5-5 overall and 2-1 in Patriot League play, while Holy Cross moves to 4-6 overall with a 0-2 Patriot League mark.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Bucknell got on the board first, netting a goal 5:21 into the first quarter. The Bison then tacked on two more in the second quarter to take the 3-0 lead into the halftime break.
- Bucknell's final goal came just under seven minutes into the third quarter.
- Sophomore Kendall Brady scored her career-high sixth goal of the season to put Holy Cross on the board with just over eight minutes to play in regulation.
BEYOND THE BOX:
- Sophomore Mia McCloskey made seven saves in the contest. Her 7.30 saves per game and 73 saves leads the Patriot League. Her .760 save percentage ranks third.
- Brady's six goals is tied for third-most in the Patriot League.
UP NEXT:
- Holy Cross will continue Patriot League play on Friday, Oct. 10 when they travel to Easton, Pa. to face Lafayette at 5 p.m.
