BOSTON, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's rowing team made history on Saturday, Oct. 18, qualifying two entries for three-straight years at the Head of the Charles, according to available records.
"It was another great day to be a Crusader!" said associate head coach Tony Delgreco. "It is exciting to see the depth, adaptability, and drive the team came in with this fall. We are very proud of the performance both boats had yesterday and know there is so much more to come. Having back to back record setting years at the Head of the Charles is proof of the commitment the team has and desire for more. We are keeping our foot on the gas going into the last two races of the season. Go Cross go!"
In the Club 8+, the Crusaders finished with a time of 17:11.534, placing them 20
th in the 43-boat field.
The Club 4+ entry for the Crusaders finished with a time of 18:39.130, placing them 11
th in the 53-boat field.
Women's rowing will return to action on Oct. 25 for the Wormtown Chase at home at Lake Quinsigamond.
