The Holy Cross men's basketball team will be back in action on Monday, Jan. 27, when it heads to Boston University for a 7 p.m. game. The contest between the Crusaders and the Terriers will be shown live to a national audience on the CBS Sports Network, and is the second half of a doubleheader that begins when the Holy Cross and Boston University women play at 4 p.m.
Holy Cross owns an overall record of 11-10 on the year, with a 3-5 mark in the Patriot League. The Crusaders are coming off a 70-65 victory at Loyola (Md.) on Saturday. Freshman guard
Max Green leads the team by averaging 14.7 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game. Sophomore forward
Joe Nugent has added 12.8 points and 5.5 rebounds per contest, while senior forward
Caleb Kenney is chipping in with 11.1 points, 4.3 boards and 0.9 blocks per game.
Boston University has an overall mark of 10-11 on the season, including a 4-4 record in the Patriot League. In their last game, the Terriers defeated Bucknell 85-82 in overtime on Saturday. Sophomore guard Kyrone Alexander leads the team by averaging 12.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. Sophomore guard Michael McNair is also enjoying a solid year, averaging 10.4 points and 3.2 boards per contest.
After the game at Boston University, Holy Cross will return home to face Lehigh on Saturday, Feb. 1, at 4:30 p.m.
