The Holy Cross men's basketball team will play its second straight home game when it faces Army West Point on Wednesday, Jan. 22, at 6 p.m. The game between the Crusaders and the Black Knights will be shown live by the Patriot League on ESPN+. This will be Student & Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night at the Hart Center.
Holy Cross owns an overall record of 10-9 on the year, with a 2-4 mark in the Patriot League. The Crusaders stand 5-2 at home this season, with wins in three of their last four games at the Hart Center. Freshman guard
Max Green leads the team by averaging 13.9 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game. Sophomore forward
Joe Nugent has added 12.8 points and 5.2 rebounds per contest, while senior forward
Caleb Kenney is chipping in with 11.7 points, 4.4 boards and 0.9 blocks per game.
Army stands 10-8 overall this season with a 4-2 record in the Patriot League. The Black Knights have won four straight, including a 68-62 victory over Boston University on Saturday. Senior guard Jalen Rucker has led the team by averaging 19.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game, while hitting 75.0 percent of his free throw attempts. Sophomore forward Josh Scovens has put up 15.9 points and 4.1 rebounds per contest, with sophomore guard Ryan Curry adding 11.8 points and 3.8 assists per game.
After the contest with Army, Holy Cross will hit the road to face Loyola (Md.) at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25.
