WORCESTER, Mass. – Freshman guard
Max Green has been named the Patriot League PenFed Credit Union Rookie of the Week, for competition from Jan. 13-19. He averaged 19.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists for the Crusaders in two games last week. This marks the sixth time this season Green has been named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week this season.
During Wednesday's game at Bucknell, Green totaled 14 points and five rebounds, while tying his career-high with seven assists. Then in Saturday's contest with American, he led the team with 24 points, six rebounds and two assists.
On the season, Green is averaging a team-best 13.9 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game, while making 37.5 percent of his attempts from three-point range (39 of 104).
Holy Cross (10-9 overall, 2-4 Patriot League) returns to action on Wednesday, Jan. 22, when it plays host to Army West Point at 6 p.m.
