WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's swimming and diving team collected a 161.5-134.5 win in the Hart Center Pool against nonconference opponent Providence Saturday afternoon.
The victory was the second in a row for the Crusaders (3-2) while the Friars remained winless at 0-5.
Junior
Zach Bubonovich earned a pair of first place finishes in the 100-yard breaststroke (59.15) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:12.12). Sophomore
Austin Cutcher also had two first place performances in the 1,000-yard freestyle (9:49.76) and the 500-yard freestyle (4:47.54). Junior
Jack Greiner tallied two first place showings in the 200-yard backstroke (1:57.41) and the 200-yard individual medley (1:58.43).
Sophomore
Will Clark earned first place in the 50-yard freestyle at 22.12. Junior

Alex Michael and senior
Rory Hess were first (52.16) and second (52.35) in the 100-yard butterfly.
In the diving events, freshman
Griffin Casey collected a 327.53 score on the three-meter board for first place with sophomore
Luke Parada finished second at 256.95. Casey (306.98) and Parada (276.30) were first and second in the one-meter dive.
Holy Cross will host Connecticut College (3-2) on Senior Day this coming Sunday, Jan. 26 at 1 p.m.
