WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's soccer team hosted Maine on Thursday afternoon for their Alumnae Day Game. After a hard-fought battle, the Black Bears scooped up the 1-0 win over the Crusaders.

IN GOAL:

• Holy Cross: Julia Walsh (L, 3-4), 1 save
• Maine: Grace Wilson (W, 1-0), 5 saves

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Maine scored just under a minute and 30 seconds into the first half with a goal by Jordane Pinette to take an early lead.
• The Crusaders led the Black Bears 3-1 in shots while Maine had the 3-1 advantage in corners through 45 minutes. 
• Neither team scored in the second half with the Black Bears holding on for the 1-0 win to break the Crusaders home undefeated streak.
• Holy Cross led Maine 17-7 in shots while the Black Bears had the 4-3 advantage in corners to finish the game.
