PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Holy Cross women's soccer team continued on the road with a 2-1 loss to the Friars on Thursday afternoon.

IN GOAL:

• Holy Cross: Julia Walsh (L, 0-2), 3 saves
• Providence: Emma Bodmer (W, 2-0), 1 save

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• A solo Sydney Baldwin goal at 7:47 in the first half gave the Crusaders an early advantage. The Friars scored two goals within 10 minutes, midway through the first 45 to claim the 2-1 lead.
• The Friars led the Crusaders 7-2 in shots and both teams had one corner a piece through 45 minutes. 
• Neither team scored in the second half with the Friars riding out their lead for the 2-1 win over Crusaders.
• Providence led Holy Cross with an 11-6 advantage in shots and the Crusaders were ahead 3-1 in corners to conclude the contest.
