Stephen Michael Buchanan, born on December 12, 1952, in White Plains, New York, passed away on July 19, 2024, after a brief illness. He was the beloved son of the late Roger and Elizabeth Buchanan. Steve was a devoted and loving husband to Jennifer "JJ" Buchanan, with whom he shared 19 wonderful years of marriage.

Steve was a cherished brother to his five siblings and special uncle to his nieces and nephews.  He was a true friend to everyone he met, and his kindness, generosity, good humor and compassion touched the lives of many. 

Beyond being an accomplished athlete, Steve was blessed with a brilliant mind, and enjoyed a successful career in finance.  However, many would say his greatest achievement was overcoming the never-ending challenges that were a result of a devastating stroke he suffered in 2012. He used it instead as a catalyst to go on living a fulfilling and active life. 

Steve will be remembered for his steadfast spirit, quick wit, unwavering integrity, and the love and special bond he shared with his wife, JJ. He will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
