Liam McLinskey earned Atlantic Hockey Player of the Year honors, the league announced Tuesday afternoon.

McLinskey, a Hobey Baker Award nominee, led the Crusaders to a second-straight Atlantic Hockey Semifinal Round appearance with a league-leading 47 points and 19 goals, and the second-highest mark in assists with 28.

His 47 points are tied for the second-highest mark in the Holy Cross division I era, while his 19 goals and 28 assists are each tied for the fourth-highest mark in a single season. His +23 rating is also tied for the top single season mark in program history.

Overall, McLinskey's 47 points are tied for 12
th in the nation, his 19 goals are tied for the 22
nd best mark, and his 28 assists place him in 16
th.

McLinskey registered 12 multi-point efforts during the regular season, nine of which were in league play. His ten-game point streak spanning the final six weeks of the season helped the Crusaders to secure the second seed in the Atlantic Hockey playoffs. McLinskey recorded at least a point in all but one of the Crusaders' five playoff games, including two multi-point efforts. His four goals in the playoffs gave him 13 in his career, which is tied for the top mark in a career in Atlantic Hockey postseason play.

McLinskey becomes the second Crusader in program history to win the honor, joining Tyler McGregor, who earned the honor following the 2005-2006 season.
